Established in 1982,  MITCON  Consultancy and  Engineering Services  Ltd., is a joint venture of ICICI, SIDBI, IFCI, SICOM, MIDC, MSSIDC and Banks. MITCON Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Center is a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) supported by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India. The Center houses facility for Microbiology, Plant Tissue Culture, Biofertilizers, Genetic engineering, Fermentation Technology, Bioinformatics etc. MITCON's Incubation center is located at Agriculture College Campus, Shivajinagar, Pune.

The   Center has various business activities with an objective to commercialize biotechnology like Training, Consultancy & Product Support. The Center offers various industry oriented Biotechnology & Clinical Research Training Courses.
